Governor Visits Fairbanks for Ceremonial Signing of AGIA in Fairbanks
Governor Palin committed to a competitive, open process for getting a gasline for Alaska's natural gas. With AGIA signed into law the administration put together a package to seek requests for applications from potential builders of the largest construction project in history.
On June 6th, Governor Palin also signed House Bill 185 into law. I sponsored this bill at the request of Mayor Whitaker and the borough assembly to make sure people who use local service roads as access, share the cost of maintenance for those roads.
After the bill signing ceremonies I was assigning to cooking detail for Governor Palin's picnic at Pioneer Park. There was lots of food and live music. The turnout was great despite the rain.
